Andrew Jack Ribosh MONROE - Andrew Jack Ribosh of Monroe, NC passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at the age of 79. He was born in 1934 in the Bronx, NY on November 14th. He was a devoted husband to Marilyn (Flanagan) Ribosh of Edgewaer Park in the Bronx. He served 4 years in the Navy on the Fred T. Berry Ship out of Newport, RI. He was employed with Standard Brands & Peerless Mohawk in Albany for many years before retiring and moving to NC. He was involved in both Boy Scouts and Knights of Columbus for over 50 years each. He received the Silver Beaver Award which is the highest award in scouting. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marilyn (Flanagan) Ribosh; 4 children, Andrew Ribosh of Monroe, NC, Debbie Collins and her husband Kenneth of Waxhaw, NC, Paul Ribosh of Monroe and Raymond Ribosh of Saugerties, NY. He was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Devin and Nick Ribosh of Saugerties, NY, Tyler Collins of Waxhaw, NC and his only brother Dick Ribosh of TN. Viewing will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church in Mint Hill on Friday, August 22 at 10:00 Am followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM. A service will be held at a later date after he is cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Wounded Warrior Foundation, St. Luke Building Fund or Boy Scouts of America. McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park and National Cremation are handling the memorial services. We will all truly miss him and his sense of humor.
