Rumell Powell Bringle MATTHEWS - Mrs. Bringle, age 93, resident of the Brookdale Place Wedding-ton Park in Matthews, passed away into the hands of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 22, 2014, at Weddington Park surrounded by her family. The funeral service will be on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 11:00AM at Calvary Church in the Chapel. Visitation will be held the same day at the Church from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. The interment will follow the service at Sharon Memorial Park. Rumell, born in Eden, was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ida Powell and was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur Ridenhour in 1955, her second husband William "Bill" Bringle in 2005 and by three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her children, Reggie Ridenhour and spouse Mary, of Weddington, Trisha Mosack, of Charlotte, Tamara Long and spouse Charlie, of Monroe; grandchildren, Ryan Ridenhour of San Francisco, CA, Kelly Ridenhour of Charlottesville, VA, Tammy Middleton Charlotte and Cherri Parker and spouse Nixon, of Burlington; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Rumell lived a life exemplifying her Christian faith of love and tenderness and she truly had a never-ending smile that would melt ones heart. Her daily prayers made this world a much better place for her family and everyone she knew. For over 60 years, she was a devoted member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Her interests included her cabin in the mountains, extensive traveling with her late husband and daily walking at Southpark Mall. The family would like to give special thanks to everyone at Brookdale Place Weddington Park for the love, attention and her very happy life for the past six years there and also to Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane Garden Christian Centre in Kenya, PO Box 713, Matthews, NC 28106.
