Ed was the best boss of all of them at Raychem in the 80s. Sharp, smart, driven, but lots of fun. You worked hard for his approval and he gave good advise as a mentor. Unlike most managers he had a good eye for design and graphics in selling products which made working with him a pleasure and a challenge. I missed him after I left Raychem. Liked getting his photo cards every Christmas. He seems to vital to die. A Man's Man is all of its positive meaning. A great boss. A friend. RIP Ed.

Ed was a wonderful friend and fellow alum - and it was a privilege to know him both early and late in his life. He is survived by his wonderful wife Terry.

Ed was deeply committed to his alma mater, Dartmouth - and all of his classmates and others throughout the Dartmouth community deeply appreciated his friendship, impact and contributions to the college, our class, and the Dartmouth community.

Ed also had a huge impact on what we now call Silicon Valley - but what was earlier in his career an elctronics valley.

In so many ways Ed was a huge contributor to college, class, broader community, the electronics industry of which he was a key part, to his family and friends - and in later years, wonderfully to the California wine world as well.

We will all miss him.
