Sherrill Brown Allen "Sherri" CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Allen, age 83 passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012. She was born on December 1, 1928 and raised in Denver, Colorado. She was the daughter of the late Charles Henry Brown and Fanny Margaret Beebe. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bob and her two brothers Ralph and Byron Brown. Sherri will always be remembered as a stay at home mom, a tax accountant for H&R Block in her later years, a very competitive person and a giving and wonderful grandmother. She was always quick with a smile. Sherri enjoyed anything involving her close family, holidays and the outdoors. Throughout her adult life she found ways to bring people together, whether it was parents to see their kids compete in sports, ladies to play bridge or just neighbors to celebrate the joy of living at her favorite place, Lake Norman. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Chuck Allen, wife Jackie, of Charlotte, NC; David Allen, wife Stacey, of Pleasanton, CA; daughter Cassi Moore, and her husband Joel, of Charlotte, NC. Sherri will also be missed by her eight grandchildren, Jessy, Jonathan and Alison Moore, Remy, Makena and Carson Allen and Jessica and Amanda Berkowitz.
