Frank H. Hoff CHARLOTTE - Frank H. Hoff, of Charlotte, entered his heavenly home February 6, 2013, age 80. Frank was born Aug 15, 1932 in Jerico Springs MO to Cliffie Mae Morris Hoff & Chester William Hoff. He spent his childhood in Stockton, MO. After trying his hand at college, he joined the Navy in 1952, serving until 1956. He married Mary Jane Davis September 8 1956 while earning his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri. After graduation in 1960, work took the family to St. Louis, MO, Huntsville, AL, Chicago, IL, and then Charlotte in 1979. His son Kevin was born in Alabama in 1969. His work, starting in Electrical and Aerospace Engineering followed by technical sales and finally executive, took him to every state and many countries. He retired in 1989 and enjoyed many years of part-time sales, golf, and travel to family events. He enjoyed people, tennis & golf, his family, and church. He had a beautiful singing voice and participated in choir at Wesley Methodist for over 30 years. Some highlights of his church life were mission trips to Russia then Guatemala and years of service to a prison ministry. Frank could strike up a conversation with anyone and forged long lasting friendships with people from every stage of his life. He is survived by his wife Mary Jane, son and daughter-in law Kevin and Andrea, and step-brother Floyd Eugene Adams. He was preceded in death by his sister Mae Louise Bannister and brother William Eldridge Hoff. His extended family includes the joy of his life - two grandchildren - Olivia and Liam and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family around the country. A celebration of his life will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3715 Rea Road, Charlotte on Saturday Feb 9 with a visitation at 1 o'clock, with the service following at two o'clock. He will be interred in Stockton, MO at a later date.
