Olin W. Hollis, Jr. "Bud" COLUMBIA - A celebration of life service for Olin W. "Bud" Hollis, Jr., 79, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Boyce Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 6, 2013, from 5 until 7:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Mr. Hollis entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 3, 2013. He was born April 3, 1934, in Greenwood, S.C. and was the only child of the late Olin W. Hollis and Edith Hollis Middleton. He graduated as Cadet Major and President of the Senior Class from Carlisle Military School, Bamberg, S.C. and Columbia Commercial College. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas Company, Land Development. An accomplished athlete in high school, Bud was also an avid golfer and USC Gamecock fan. He is survived by his spouse of 31 years, Patti Page Wren Hollis; children, David Hollis of Columbia, Debi Hollis of Daniel Island, S.C., Cathi Hollis of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and stepdaughter, Ansley Wren Key and husband, Heyward of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two grandchildren, Katie Grace Key and Heyward Key, Jr. Memorials may be made to the , 2999 Sunset Blvd., Suite 102, West Columbia, SC 29169 or , 5005 LBJ Freeway, Attn: Gift Management Service, Suite 250, Dallas, Texas 75244.
