Jacquelyn Wallace Berry CHARLOTTE - Jacquelyn Wallace Berry passed away on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 20, 2014, at CMC-Main. She was born on Nov. 16, 1943, at Rowan Memorial Hospital in Salisbury, to the late William Thomas Wallace, Jr. and Beth Mitchell Wallace. She attended Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee; and after marriage and the birth of her children, graduated from UNC-Charlotte. She served her community as a primary school teacher in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She loved her Church, her family, reading, history, traveling, laughter, and hats. She is survived by her beloved children, Renee Berry and Michael Berry; sister, Antonia Moore; two brothers, Douglas Wallace and William Wallace; and two grandchildren Letitia Berry and Raymond Berry whom she dearly loved, and cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Reverend Ollie V. Rencher officiating and the Reverend Joslyn Ogden Schaefer assisting. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the parlor, and interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
