Larry was a good friend of ours since 1968 when we lived next door to Diane and Larry as house parents at Dana Hall School in Wellesley, MA. He and Diane helped Diana look after our newborn daughter, Paige, while I was " on call" as a surgical intern every other night and every other weekend.
Seventeen years later the Estridges served as local parents for Paige when she matriculated at Furman, to which Larry exhibited a life-long commitment.
Larry was incredibly bright and enjoyed a regional reputation as an outstanding attorney.
His loyalty to friends, family and colleagues was
exemplary. He leaves a lasting legacy for good in Greenville, Furman, the Carolinas and with countless friends far and near.

Larry was a stalwart supporter of his alma mater, Furman University, where he served the institution in many capacities, including several terms as a member of the Board of Trustees. He served in smaller, but important ways such as coaching and supporting Furman's mock trial team. His wise leadership and counsel will be sorely missed. He used his innumerable skills (including his stellar intellect) to advance Greenville and South Carolina.

We will miss him dearly, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Diana and I first met Diane and Larry in 1968 when Larry was at Harvard Law School and I was an intern at Boston University Medical Center. All four of us served as house parents at the Dana Hall School.

Larry was always dedicated to his family, friends,Furman, community service and his law practice and was exemplary in all roles.
We enjoyed the weddings of Natalie, Brad and Margaret.
Subsequently we played some competitive golf rounds at Reynolds Plantation.(The competition was keener than our golf.)

He will be missed by many and cannot be replaced.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his extended family.
