Jane Graham Melson, 82, died Friday, July 15, 2016. A native of Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Robertson Graham and Luzon Holt Graham. She was a graduate of UGA with her masters in math education. She retired from Oglethorpe County School System as a middle school math teacher and was a member of Crossroads Community Church. She lived a full happy life filled with laughter and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Arthur Donald "Art" Melson, son, James Arthur Melson and brother, James Robertson Graham Jr. Survivors include her children: Charles David (Kathy) Melson of Loveland, CO. Carol Melson Wallace of Athens and Judy (Gary) Hammon of Woodstock; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11AM at Crossroads Community Church with Rev. Morris Sapp and Rev. Chris Bailey officiating. The family will have a burial service at 10AM at Tuckston United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7PM to 9PM Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of choice. Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements. http://www.lordandstephens.com
