Curtis Edward Johnson
HARMONY -- Mr. Johnson, 28, of 3029 Harmony Highway, died Sunday, May 23, 2004, as a result of an automobile accident.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Iredell County, NC, and was the son of James Edward and Martha Shoemaker Johnson of Harmony. He was an operator/dispatcher with On-Star Communications and enjoyed traveling. He was a graduate of North Iredell High School where he was a member of the ROTC for four years and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.S. in Religion. He formerly attended Hebron Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Curtis is survived by three sisters: Kimberly Rankin and her husband, Dale, Annette Rankin and her husband, David, and Tammy Stergas, all of Harmony, and maternal grandparents: Howard and Viola Shoemaker of Statesville.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Reavis Funeral Home of Harmony with the Revs. William Wease and Ervel Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the residence of the parents, 3029 Harmony Highway.
