Hey Bruce, remember how we discovered over dinner years ago in Aiken that both our families had cottages on Indian Lake in SW Michigan?? Who knows, you may have attended some of my pre-teen clandestine poker parties!!! Plus mutual friends from the upper Midwest Hunter/jumper gang and then dear, wonderful Aiken!! Your spirit and memory are forever in my heart, dear one. So glad you were able to celebrate your last Christmas at my home. I´ll never forget how handsome and healthy you looked. Sic transit Gloria, dear friend!
Much love,
Leslie Giobbe

Always a smile on your face - it was there for the more than 50 years I have known you. You were always so gracious to my Mother- you never passed her without saying hello! She always marveled at that. The world was a better place because of your examples!

To a man that will always be remembered at the Blowing Rock, NC Charity Horse Show each year. A man with a smile, willing to help and do even the most menial things to see that the show went well. His support of our show was so kind and full of true love. The show this year and those to come he will be sorely missed and will never be quite the same. I miss you Bruce Ed Merritt Blowing Rock NC

Bruce and I never met, but I remember showing against him at Detroit in the late sixties in the junior division. My condolences to his family and all who mourn his passing. I am sure he and Kim's Song are galloping the fields and having a grand time.
