Beloved son of the late Dr. Samuel and Annette Lieberman; cherished brother of Dr. Jack (Marilyn) Lieberman; fond companion of Allin Khayou; loving uncle of Andrea (Jim) Kallianis, Sharon Stringer, and Janet (Scott) Goss; caring great-uncle of Rachel Kallianis, Nate and Ben Goss. He will be greatly missed by many students and friends. Funeral service Weds, May 13, 10 AM, at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette. Interment Memorial Park. He was an outstanding teacher who taught me critical thinking skills. I will never forget his morning class with Mr. Dluger. Jack Wersching and I presented our findings on vandalism. What a hoot.

Mr. Lieberman's history class was one of the few classes that I would not cut out of at Taft H.S. His great sense of humor and his ability to make history come alive has not been forgotten. My sympathy to all his close family and friends. May you take comfort in knowing that his life touched many people.

Mr Lieberman was an awesome history teacher. Class was made super fun with his confidence in the students. Dare I say, as a Hawaii chaperone, he was fair and looked out for us!

Dick was a kind, gentle soul and a mentor for many, whether in his role as Social Studies Chairman, union rep, or friend and colleague. He gifted my life with his supportive nature, his positive approach, and his humor. He will be missed.
