Carolyn Florence Lorence, 65, died peacefully April 23, 2013 at home attended by her family. She is much beloved by her daughters, Elena Gonzales and Amelia Bartolotta, her grandson, Emmett Goldbroch, her sons in law Simon Goldbroch and Terry Bartolotta, and her brother, Dennis Lorence, along with many friends and supporters. Carolyn was a deep thinker, a literary force, and a librarian impassioned by books. She led a life dedicated to art. She made clothing and wearable art for herself and her family, as well as professionally. She dedicated her life to making life beautiful for others as well as for herself. Her philosophy was to spend life, not save it. She had a deep commitment to living for the moment. Her family and friends will celebrate her life on Friday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church at 1010 W. Webster, Chicago, Illinois 60614.
