I am probably one of the few surviving vending industry figures (NAMA staff) who knew and greatly appreciated the Remien Brothers' innovative entrepreneurial accomplishments. Moreover, my family and I have lived around the corner of the Remien family home in Wilmette for 39 years. A great family, great people. He will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

From my childhood and young adult memories growing up in Northbrook, I remember Mr. Remien always as kind and generous. The Remien home was a second home to me. All my love to Mrs. Remien and family.

I was shocked to read about Jerry's sudden passing. I knew him to be a great guy (tough exterior, soft inside), and an excellent business man. He will be missed.
