Marilyn Lois Carpentier (84) of Wheaton, passed away peacefully at Autumn Leaves of St. Charles on August 23, 2015. She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 4, 1931. She is survived by her children and spouses William (Denise) Garvy, Thomas (Laura) Wold, Robert (Kristen) Hianik and 6 Grandchildren. Leonard "Lenny" Cooper, 48, beloved and adored son of Barbara and Michael Gould; dear brother of Lisa Cooper; loving nephew of Neal and Leslawa Rosenberg; cherished cousin of David and Nicole Rosenberg; devoted grandson of the late Carole and Jack Rosenberg and the late Mary and Joseph Cooper; treasured friend of many. Lenny graduated from Ripon College in Wisconsin with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science and Government. Lenny will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Harvey Joel Cohen of Highland Park, IL passed away at home on September 2, 2015. Beloved husband of Ellen; father of Melissa (Alan) and Rebecca (David); grandfather of Alice and Andrew; brother of Norman (Jan) and brother-in-law of Barbara (Jim); uncle of Marjorie (Aram) and Julia; friend of many. A lifelong resident of the Chicago area, Harvey received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School and worked as an attorney for many years. Following retirement, Harvey was elected to the Township High School District 113 Board of Education for four consecutive terms, from November 1997 to May 2013, serving as President for three terms. A talented baker and gardener, devoted son and brother, loving husband of nearly 50 years, proud father, and doting grandfather, Harvey will be dearly missed by family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Leah Cohen. Graveside Service Friday, September 4 at 2:00 PM at Waldheim Cemetery, Gate, 273, 18th & Harlem, Forest Park.
