Bradley Hannan(1935 - 2013)

Bradley Hannan, 78, of Evanston passed away Nov. 23, 2013, surrounded by her family. Born April 24, 1935 in Rochester, NY, Bradley is preceded in death by her parents Jack MacArthur and Alice Staley, her brothers Steve and Bruce MacArthur, and the father of her children Bill Hannan. Bradley took great pride in her children and grandchildren, who survive her: Megan Hannan (Steve Johnson), Tim Hannan (Wendy Hannan), Moira Ockrim (Bernie Ockrim) and Patrick Hannan (Madeleine Traxler), and six grandchildren: Kristina Gooding (Jason); Sean Hannan; Caelum and Dane Johnson; Kayla and Kevin Ockrim. She was a publishing company executive with a BA from Arizona State University. Who's Who of American Women 1988 includes Bradley in recognition of her long history as a reading and language arts expert and textbook publishing project manager. Bradley loved words and language, classical music and opera, art, gardens, travel, and engaging with the people around her. She spent the last two years of her life at the Mather on Davis in Evanston where she was deeply involved socially, intellectually, and in governance with the resident council. These years were the icing on the cake of her life. She leaves many friends there including several on the staff who served her genuinely and with grace.
