Wilson III, Francis Servis "Tug" 65, passed away Thursday, June 6th, 2013. Tug was born May 26, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Francis Servis Wilson Jr. and Kathryn Wilson. Mr. Wilson graduated from The Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville, NJ in 1966. He earned his BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1970 where he was a member of Chi Psi Fraternity. Mr. Wilson returned to Chicago to earn his MBA from Northwestern University
in 1972. In 1975, Tug married Dorsey Wilson Means (nee Steinhoff) and settled down in Kenilworth, IL to raise his family, for many years. Mr. Wilson was an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and real estate developer. He founded and was managing partner of AAM Capital Partners, a private equity firm investing in the insurance industry, from October 1993 to 2004, during which time he served as a director of Universal American Financial Group, INFOCUS Financial Group, Inc. and Wasatch Crest Group, Inc. Mr. Wilson was also the chairman of Highland Development Corp., a real estate development firm. He led many projects including the redevelopment of the Trader's Building at 401 S. LaSalle Street in Chicago. Previously, he held various positions with investment banking firms Prescott Ball & Turben, Inc., Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. and Halsey, Stuart & Co., Inc. Mr. Wilson is survived by his three children; Bradley Wilson (Jennifer), Campbell Wilson (Elena), and Caroline Wilson; two granddaughters, Evelyn Wilson and Annabelle Wilson; and his former wife Dorsey "Dee" Wilson Means.
