Frank Fremont Reed

Frank Fremont Reed "Monty", died peacefully in his home on Sept. 26, 2012 in Santa Barbara, CA. Monty was born on June 15, 1928 in Chicago, IL. He graduated St. Paul's High School in 1946, got his law degree as a third generation alumnus at the University of Michigan. Monty served for two years in the Korean War. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1958 and worked for the U.S. Patent office in 1960. He practiced law in Chicago, was district precinct captain, and ran for Alderman during the time of Mayor Daley. He faithfully served as vestry member at St. Chrysostom's Church in Chicago. Monty married Jaquelin Silverthorne On April 27, 1963. Monty is survived by his wife, Jaquelin; his children, Libby, Laura, Mark, Jeffrey, Nancy and Sarah; as well as his three grandchildren, Henry Reed, John Reed, and Lily Farmer.
