JAMES EDWARD HOFFMAN

iconicon James "Jack" Edward Hoffman, age 87, of Highland Park, quietly passed away Saturday in his favorite chair doing his crossword puzzle-the only puzzle he didn't finish; loving husband of Marcia Cohen Hoffman, nee Hergott, and the late Rozanne "Ronnie", nee Jacobson. Jack was the beloved father of William Hoffman , Patricia (Harris) Goldenberg, Alfred (Debi) Cohen, Howard (Laurie) Cohen, loving brother to Dale Drexler, the late Marjorie (Bernard) Weinstein, brother-in-law to Harvey (Sue) Hergott, the late Arthur (Helaine) Hergott and the late Mervyn (Barbara) Hergott, adoring grandfather to Graham, Jacob, Rani, Jordan, Robbyn (Jason), Jori (Josh), Daryl, and Great Grandfather to Cooper and Charli. He was the beloved son of the late Rosalind and Melvin Hoffman. Jack was a graduate of Northwestern University's school of Engineering. He was the president of Clarin Corporation and a proud naval veteran of WWII. He remained active in bowling and tax preparation through April of 2013. Service and interment Tuesday, 1:30 PM at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W. Montrose Avenue; Norridge. Contributions may be made to Jewish Child and Family Services, 216 W.
