John Harlin

iconBorn in Chicago, IL, Jack died in Minnesota where his beloved son Sean resides on June 17th, 2013 at 87 years old. A WWII veteran, Jack returned home from the Pacific and worked as a Chicago firefighter for 30 years, proudly serving on Rescue Squad 3. As a testament to his work ethic, days away from the firehouse were spent working as a union electrician. Upon retiring from the fire department in 1979, he moved his family to Naples, FL where they lived happily for 32 years. He is preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 31 years Valerie (nee Hovey); parents Joseph N. and Mary (nee Canavan); brothers Joseph A. and Bernard and sister Mary Jane. He is survived by children Linda Wozniak (Edward) and Sean (Andrea); grandchildren Jennifer, Guy (Jessica), Tadhg; great-grandchild Sean, and brother Thomas (Joanne).
