Sister Madeleine Adamczyk

SSJ-TOSF, Ph.D. Sister Madeleine, Author, lecturer, Asst. Supervisor of Schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago, College Professor, Administrator, teacher, College Dean, Religious Provincial of her congregation, ended a long career of service to others when she passed into eternal life on December 26, 2001, suffering a heart attack. Sister had been in ill health for quite some time. Sister Madeleine was preceded in death by her parents Helen, nee Harenda, and Stanley. Her brothers Anthony and John and sister Josephine survive, as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were three other brothers and five sisters, and the Sisters of St. Joseph, TSOF with whom she shared 70 years of her life. Friends will be received at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2001 at the Sacred Heart Chapel of Immaculate Convent, 801 W. Bartlett Rd., Bartlett, IL (1/2 mi. E. of Route 59 and West Bartlett Road). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on December 29, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Chapel. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Palatine, IL, following the Mass.
