MICHAEL T. BRENNAN

Michael T. Brennan, 54, passed on April 21, 2012 in Gig Harbor, WA following a long illness. He was devoted to his family; husband of Donna L. Brennan, nee Traweek; father of Christopher R.; son of John J. Brennan, Sr. (Jacquelyn, step mother); brother of Linda Brennan (Thomas) Koch, Annette Miller, nee Brennan, John J. (Chaliang) Brennan Jr.; step brother of Frances (Paul) Stamper and Francis Mineo; grandfather of Taylor, Brooke, Morgan, Bailey, Chance and Carter; uncle of Lauren (Robert) Gonke, Ryan Koch and Alyssa, Morgan and Sydney Ronn. He was preceded in death by his mother Pauline E. Brennan, nee Davis. Michael retired from the US Navy as a Senior Chief serving in the Submarine Fleet. His distinguished career earned him many commendations. Mike also had the distinction in 1988 of having organized the world's first underwater half-marathon aboard the Submarine USS Georgia. Born and educated in Chicago, he later earned a B.A. from Columbia College, Orlando, FL. Mike was a passionate fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawk's. Arrangements for a future Chicago Memorial are in progress. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting financial assistance for the Cremation Services.
