Ralph Stouffer Jr.

iconRalph E. Stouffer Jr., 96, US Navy Veteran, WWII, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he married his high-school sweetheart and beloved wife of sixty-seven years, Florence, in 1940. They both attended Northwestern University and, after graduation, Ralph founded the Chicago law firm Pretzel & Stouffer, in 1946. He had an outstanding and well-respected career as an attorney. They lived in River Forest, Illinois, until moving to Oak Brook, Illinois, in 1974. In 1987, they became permanent Florida residents, relocating to Gulfport, Florida. Mr. Stouffer was a devoted family man, avid golfer and world traveler. Survivors include his son, Ralph E. (LaVonne) Stouffer III of St. Paul, Minnesota; his daughter, Ellamarie S. Boersma of St. John, Indiana; four grandchildren, Kristin (Thomas) Meckey and Joseph E. Stouffer, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Laura (Carl) Johnson of Crown Point, Indiana; and Juliet (James) McNulty of Des Plaines, Illinois; six great-grandchildren, Margaret Meckey and Harris Meckey of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Clara Johnson and Alex Johnson of Crown Point, Indiana; and Liam McNulty and Vaughn McNulty of Des Plaines, Illinois.
