Russell Fishman(1928 - 2013)

Russell Fishman, cherished husband of Jackie for 64 years, passed away on October 21 at 85. He lived in Highland Park, Illinois. Born on April 21, 1928 in Chicago, graduate of Austin High School and University of Illinois, Russell worked for more than 50 years as a sales representative for NCH Corporation, an international marketer of maintenance products. His unbounded curiosity earned him a reputation as a problem solver, and he constantly delighted clients, friends and family with his sharp wit and sense of humor. With his wife and three sons, Russell enjoyed ski trips, traveling the world, golf and going to the symphony. He was an arbitrator of legal disputes for the American Bar Association, and he volunteered for the Community Emergency Response Teams in Highland Park. Russell is survived by his wife Jackie; younger brother Seymour; sons Steve and Scott; and his two grandchildren Alex and Marc. His son Craig and older brother Bernard both preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Sunday October 27 Congregation Solel 1301 Clavey Road, Highland Park, Il.
