Virginia F. Tomasek, 65, of Chapel Hill, NC, formerly of Chicago and Glencoe, IL, died suddenly on August 29 at her home. Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Paul Levy; loving stepmother of Joshua (Laurie), Daniel (Carolyn) and Jeremiah; dear grandmother to Yana, Aleksander, Ella and Asher; fond cousin of Suni Madonia and Ginger Cornog; and cherished friend of many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia B. and Anton Tomasek; and grandparents, Olga H. and James F. Bambas. Virginia was a graduate of Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane
University. She received a fellowship to study in Indonesia while a student at the University of Wisconsin
-Madison and earned an MBA degree from the University of Chicago. Virginia was the general manager of O.H. Bambas, the family business in DesPlaines, IL and a member of the Library Board of Glencoe while a resident there. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at a time and place to be determined.
