William Douglas

photoWilliam Clow Douglas, of Lake Forest IL, age 89, born November 14, 1923, died March 6, 2013. He enlisted in the Army's elite 10th Mtn Division and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Nazi-occupied Italy. Bill was a Chicago stockbroker, investment banker and venture capitalist and fell in love with the Rocky Mountains during his Army training days where he later spent years skiing and fly-fishing. He is survived by his brother, Donald D. Douglas M.D., three children from his first marriage, Elizabeth, William Jr. and Margaret, two sons from his second marriage, Donald and James and two granddaughters, Martha and Jamie. A memorial service followed by a reception will take place on Saturday, March 16th, 3 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 700 Sheridan Rd., Lake Forest, Ill. (847) 234-6250
