Golf became the love of his life. He received a honorable discharge in 1955. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He went to Northern Illinois University and graduated in 1961. He celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary this year on October 12. His main employment was 26 years with the Illinois Department of Transportation. In 1973 he was elected as the Addison Township Clerk on the Democratic ticket. The whole slate was elected and this was the first in history that democrats were elected in DuPage County. Upon moving to our summer place in Fox Lake he served as a Director of the Fox Waterway Agency for 8 years. He also enjoyed fishing and wanted to say that he "hooked" some fish and "hooked" some drives. He will be sorely missed.
