Glenn J. England, 73, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2013, after a difficult battle with cancer. Glenn was born and raised in St. Paul, MN where he attended St. Luke's Catholic School and Cretin High School. After high school, Glenn went on to play college basketball at St. Mary's College in Winona, MN. Upon graduation from St. Mary's, Glenn pursued a great career as a sales manager at 3M. Retiring in 1999, Glenn got the unique opportunity to pursue his true passion as a basketball coach at Wheaton Warrenville South High School. He thoroughly enjoyed coaching for 12 years, where he taught young men not only about basketball, but also about life. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia; his children, Scott of Naperville IL, and Chad of Los Angeles CA; his grandchildren, Morgan, Patrick and Connor; his sister, Nancy England Erdos of East Hampton NY; and nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Clarkin England; and his father, Glenn E. England. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Hospice of the Valley in Arizona, and their many caregivers who so lovingly cared for Glenn. Visitation: Saturday, May 18th from 9:00am to 10:00am, immediately followed by a mass starting at 10:00am, at St. Michael Church, 310 S. Wheaton Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60187. A reception celebrating Glenn's life will be held immediately after the mass, concluding at 3pm, at Arrowhead Golf Club, 26w151 Butterfield Road, Wheaton, IL 60189. The interment will take place in Northern Wisconsin for the immediate family on May 19, 2013. In lieu of flowers, a memorial trust has been established in Glenn's name for the benefit of youth sports in the community of Wheaton, IL.
