I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of Geraldine Smothers. I fondly remember meeting Gerri for the first time at Christ Hospital. She was a true role model, and I was very inspired by her kindness and professionalism.
I relocated, and therefore, had not been in touch with her for several years. But neither distance not time can diminish the respect that I will always have for Geraldine Smothers.

Gerri gave generously of her time to HIM students. When I, now an HIM professional, am called upon to meet with students, I always do so with special pleasure, as I remember this generosity and how she inspired me. She was so special. My condolences to her family.

It's not often that you are privileged to know someone personally who has touched so many lives. I will ALWAYS remember Gerri and will continue to testify how phenomenal she "is". Gerri was a professional colleague and a very special and dear friend. We always enjoyed shopping together at the resell stores and buying things neither of us needed. Gerri was a longtime customer where I work. She was very upright and professional yet down to earth. Over the years I got to know her and always enjoyed her stops in our shop. She loved books and wedgewood. I always think of her when I see wedgewood. I am going to miss her. I am so sorry for your loss Smothers family.

Gerry was one of the kindest people that I ever met. She was full of life and a lot of fun. I will miss Gerry's laugh, it was infectious and could always make you feel better about anything. Gerry was always willing to mentor everyone and get whomever on the right track. Over the years I sent so many people to Gerry for help and advice, thinking it would be a one time call and finding out each person formed a long term relationship with Gerry. I loved hearing Gerry talk about how proud she was of her husband, children and granchildren. I will miss Gerry and our fun nights out.
