Dear Lee and Family,
I only recently returned from out of town to receive the sad news about Nate's passing. As you know, our friendship goes back all the way to the early '50s at UofI Law School and continued until recently as we were in the same tennis group at Mid-Town. We will all miss his great sense of humor and unflagging good nature. Pat and I extend our sincerest condolences to you. Ron Miller

Dear Lee and family,
I was saddened to hear of Nate's passing. I really enjoyed our years of practicing together at GKB&B. Nate was always upbeat and had a wonderful sense of humor. I loved hearing his stories and especially about his trip to Springfield. I will miss him. My prayers are are with you.

Mrs. Brenner and the Brenner Family-
I had the privilege of being involved in several civil cases with Nate in the past when we were representing co-defendants. He was a consummate advocate, an imaginative tactician, and a delightful companion at depositions and strategy meetings. Although I have not seen him in many years, I never forgot his courtesy and kindness to me as a younger attorney. Both he and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was in the Bar Show many moons ago with Nate. He was just a great fun-loving guy with an incredible sense of humor, a real interest in everyone he met and a pinch of mischief. I was blessed to have known and worked with him. Rest in peace, Nate. David Schaffer

Dear Brenner Family,
I am so very very sorry to hear of Nate's passing. I worked in the same office with him when he was with Gabe and Tony Hofeld. I just found out today and was so shocked. I am sorry I wasn't able to attend the services as like I said I just found out today. My deepest condolences to all of you. I had many lunches with Nate and all he ever talked about was his wife and kids and grandkids. I used to tease him about always being gone on vacations to Florida and California. He was a kind understanding man who will be greatly missed.

Dear Brenner Family
So sorry for your loss. Nate was a great lawyer, friend AEPi fraternity brother & a great human being. He was especially kind to me when my Mom passed away some 5 years ago.
Please try to take comfort in knowing that many others care. I will say Kaddash for him.

We were "shirttail relatives", his cousin David was also my cousin, on the other side of the family. However, I remember Nathan as a colleague of impeccable reputation and a warm and smiling personality. I hope his passing was easy; he deserved it.

To the Brenner family:
I was deeply saddened by the news of Nate's passing. Knowing him through the Bar Show for the past 29 years was a great privilege and honor.
Over the years, I got to know Nate as a good lawyer, a devoted family man, a mentor to me (at times) and a good friend. I will miss him dearly.
Regretfully, I will not be able to join you at the services today. Please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss.
