Irene Nowak Obituary

Irene A. Nowak was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Joseph Nowak, and sister Harriet Becofske. She is survived by her loving sister, Sister Rita Nowak, OSB, and brother-in-law, Robert Becofske; nieces Kathy Wickert, Amy Conrad, Marianne Engels; nephews James, Dennis, Joseph and Peter Becofske and ten great-nieces and nephews. Irene was a loyal and faithful employee of the Treasurer's Office of DePaul University and also a longtime devoted parishioner of Saint Nicholas Parish in Evanston. Visitation Saturday Dec. 21 from 11 AM until time of funeral mass at Noon in the Saint Scholastica Monastery Chapel 7430 N. Ridge Blvd. Chicago 60645. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. Irene's support has brought lifesaving help and hope to the poorest of the poor, which is a legacy to be honored. May God's peace be with you all during this time of separation.
