Miriam Hansen, nee Bratu, Born April 28, 1949 - Feb. 5, 2011. Wife of Michael Geyer; sister of Micha Bratu; daughter of the late Ruth and Artur Bratu. The Ferdinand Schevill Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago. Services Tuesday, 12:30 p.m at KAM Isaiah Israel Congregation, 1100 E. Hyde Park Blvd. Chicago. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miriam Hansen Fellowship Fund at the University of Chicago, 5801 S. Ellis Ave., Chicago, IL 60637. Professor Geyer-
My deepest condolences to you and your loved ones on the loss of Miriam. I am sorry I did not send something right away but I only learned of your wife's passing yesterday when Jerry Linderman told me about it. Please know that I think often of the work that you and I did on my honors thesis. I never met Miriam but Professor Linderman said that she was a remarkable woman.
