Remembering Mr.Gallo, a good man who helped so many, including myself.

September 28, 2010

Al Gallo was one of my grandmother's best friends and had become one of my friends. He inspired me to continue my education and to consider law school. In the 40 years that my grandma, Katherine Morelli, knew him he never charged her one time for his legal services, because he knew she had money problems. For a lawyer this borders on saintly. I remember talking with him about my future and my desire to pursue real estate as a career. He was never anything less than inspirational. What he has done for my family will never be forgotten. My sympathies go out to his family and friends.

In my brief time knowing Mr. Gallo, he endeared himself to our entire office at Prospect Equities. He shared his stories, had us all to his own Wisconsin-caught bass and catfish dinner, and made a point to make friends with us all, earmarking at least one specific connection. With me, he shared his WWII experience and the book his friend wrote of their duty in Italy. He is sorely missed and will be for a long time to come.

Dear Mrs Gallo,
I am deeply sadden by Als passing. I worked with him and he was a standup guy. I valued his counsel but more importantly I valued his friendship. Al loved being an Italian American and did so with grace and compassion. I am truly sorry I cannot make the funeral I am taking my freshman daughter to Dayton. Al and the family will be in my prayers.

Mr.Gallo led a faith filled and vibrant life with extraordinary kindness and dignity . Active in his profession, his church and on the golf course, his lifestyle belied his years. He was caring and generous and I was the beneficiary of gratis legal work in a time of need. Right up to the end he would always ask me how things were going and we exchanged brief salutes when we saw eachother in church. God Bless you Al,as you begin your legal practice with the angels.

Both my husband and I were admirers and friends of Al Gallo. We especially enjoyed being the guests of Gina and him at the Sicilian and Oenophile dinners. We also thoroughly enjoyed their company when we went to the PRC in 1995 with a group from John Marshall Law School.

Mr. Gallo was a true scholar, gentleman, business associate and friend of my Father's. I will always remember him as such and his accomplishments speak for themselves. He, in turn, spoke so eloquently when my own Father passed and he was a friend to our Family for many decades. God bless Him, Mrs. Gallo (Gina) and the entire Gallo Family.

I will miss Mr.Gallo's stories. Growing up I didn't have a grandfather. For a short time I feel I did with him. I will cherish all the wisdom he gave to me and will pass it on.

I have known Mr. Gallo for over 25 years.
I found him to be the most wonderful person anybody could ever meet. As we went thru our mutual illnesses many years ago he and I were a support group for each other and helped each other through the rough times. I will treasure every story he told and the warmest human being that he was. I have been truly blessed to know him and will miss him.

Mr. Gallo came into my life just five short month ago but he made such a wonderful impression. He was truly the most genuine, kind, giving man. He lit up our office every single day he entered.

Everyone that was lucky enough to sit around the table for lunch was delighted by his company not to mention the fascinating stories he told of his life.

I'll miss his smile and conversation so very much....

We were all truly blessed to have known him.
