Dear Kim and Gina,
I don't know if you remember me, my name at the time was Kathy Kater, and my son Brandon and your dad and both of you spent some wonderful times together. I just heard yesterday about your father, and I am so sad. We, unfortunately had not been in touch for many years, but I often thought about all of you. My deepest sympathies are with you, and I am so sorry I found about Alan at so late a date. I really loved your Dad,and I can only hope you can remember the good times Brandon and I had with you. If you want to, you can reach me at [email protected]. Love, Kathy

To the Family,
I am truly sadden to learn of the passing of Mr. Hollis. I was just at St. Ben's today (Sept. 8, 2010) and the receptionist told me what happened. I was simply in shock and immediately sadden. He was a dear colleague.
I was blessed to work with Mr. Hollis over the years. He was the type of man that was kind, considerate, helpful, dedicated, and always genuine. I appreciated that about him. I will miss our conversations about higher education and world politics. Rest in peace, Mr. H.
My sincere condolences... E. Cleveland Oak Park, IL

Kim, Jeff, Gina, and the rest of the family:
It is early on the morning of 6/29. We were in South Carolina and could not get out for the funeral due to obligations on our way driving home. Your Dad/Alan had been on my mind all day that day as we toured Ft. Sumpter in Charleston. I was trying to think through all day when I could get out to visit.
You may remember that I saw him three years ago this month as I stopped on my way to Wisconsin after retiring. I would call on and off over the past three years and your Dad/Alan and I spoke in mid-May. He sounded so happy.
That is such a wonderful way for me to remember him. Please should any of you be in Philadelphia, please call.

I'am sadden and shocked by the loss of Mr. Hollis. St. Benedict High School was more then a high school, but also a second home. He always believed every student had potential to be somebody. And inspired each student to reach that potential

Dear Kim and Gina,
I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I will always have fond memories of our weekly visits to Governor's Park Nursing Home to bring communion to the residents. Your dad was so very proud of both of you and I know he loved you very much. May God bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand as you grieve your dad's loss. I, too will miss him. He was always such a friendly and warm person and always willing to help those in need.
In deepest sympathy

Kim and Gina,
You may remember me from Holy Family. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. I just heard about it through Holy Family, where I am still a parishioner. You have my deepest condolences.
I visited your grandmother and grandfather in Phoenix many years ago when your grandmother was dying of stomach cancer. I saw your grandfather once more after your grandma's passing.
However, I had not seen you dad for several years. I lost track of him around 1996. I am deeply saddened to hear about his passing. It is unfortunate that I found out so late. I would like to have attended his visitation.
With deepest sympathy,
Kathy Jordan

Our family mourns the loss of Mr. Alan Hollis. He was very kind to our children, Simone and Frank DiCristofano, in their freshman year this year at St. Benedict High School. He especially helped provide support to our daughter Simone. This is a great loss for St. Benedict High School. Our deepest sympathy to his family. Frank and Shirley DiCristofano

Our family is saddened by the loss of Mr. Hollis. He was a teacher and mentor for our son and so many other students in the St. Edward family. No superlative can describe the amount of care and understanding he put into molding youth into young adults. He will be missed and remembered by all of those whose lives were touched by his enthusiasm, wit and kindness.
With love and respect,
