Edward Bluhm, 82, of Western Springs, beloved husband of Shirley, nee Stutz, for 60 years; loving father of Lyle E. (Susanne) Bluhm and Cindy L. (Scott) Bowman; devoted grandfather of Christopher and Haley Bluhm and Caitlyn Bowman; dear brother of Marilyn Bluhm; fond uncle of many. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11500 German Church Rd., Burr Ridge. Interment Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Bethesda Lutheran Home, Watertown, WI, Concordia Seminary Student Tuition Fund, St. Louis, MO or Seaspar, Downers Grove, appreciated. Ed was a distant cousin of mine. I remember we met at the Lutheran church in Westchester. I am the daughter of A.J. Bluhm. Our sympathies to the family. We lived in Maywood, at the time.
