My condolences to the family of Jim.
He was a genuine source of positive energy in the life of Western Springs. I have great memories of Village Board, Library Board, annual Citizen Dinners and town politics. Thanks, Jim, for your shining smile and inspiration.

Jim,
We'll miss you. You were a great guy. If we were to look up the definition of a really decent man, Jim Tilden would be the example. Our condolences to the family.

I was stunned just now reading his name in the Lobby at the University Club. He was wonderful and memorable every time he was here, for always being to upbeat and positive and friendly....and happy. I am very sorry for your loss. He is remembered.

I recall every morning ready to learn Lit through the eyes of Mr Tilden. Truly a remarkable and talented teacher. My favorite lesson he taught was poetry where created a poetry book we made. I still have it with his great warm comments. Take care , miss you

We are truly blessed if we are lucky enough to know a genuinely nice person. Jim was such a person. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

My sympathies to the entire Tilden family. Jim was a beacon of compassion, values, and family; and was a steward of "good humor" and just like his father REV A. Baylies. I pray that the family moves forward in strength - and is able to reflect on Jim's wonderful gifts - while on this earth. The Tilden family - continues to have a special place in my heart. God Bless you...Jim.
