Just heard of Mary Sue's passing. So sad. She was a terrific religious educator and good friend to many who ministered in the Archdiocese of Chicago in so many different ways. Joe and I will miss her greatly. Blessings for fond memories for all of her children and grandchildren. What a great woman! + Dr. Donna Kay Cascino

Mary Sue shared so generously her many gifts, talents, delightful sense of humor, hugs, smiles and laughter but especially her strong gift of faith, visionary hope, and enduring love. Her family was her greatest treasure. No task was too big, small tasks were done with loving care and her encouragement as mentor, colleague and friend will always be remembered. My deepest sympathy to her family especially her children and grandchildren. + Barb Marszewski Slipek

Mary Sue was a woman of faith and fearlessness. She faced life with tremendous intellectual energy, a steady sense of humor and a great passion for catechetical ministry. But above all - she was kind and generous. We are all blessed by her friendship.

It is with great sadness that I send you my deepest condolences. MarySue was an inspiration to all of us at St. Benedict's. I had the pleasure of receiving her guidance and friendship for several years. Through everything she kept her sense of humor and prayerfulness. We are all better for knowing her. May she be celebrating in God's presence!

Mary Sue will always be with me. She needlepointed the names of my grandchildren on their Christmas stockings that hang on my fireplace each year. A simple example of her ever thoughtful and generous self to give a gift impossible for me, but so simple and lovingly done by her. She will be missed by many and remembered with love by all.

Mary Sue helped guide my wife through RCIA at St. Ben's. She has been a warm light for everyone at our parish, and hearing of her passing is certainly a blow. My prayers go to the family, and I'll lift my thanks to heaven, where Mary Sue is certainly singing with the angels.

Mary Sue guided my daughter through her sacraments at St. Benedict. She ran a tight ship with an abundance of faith, love, and understanding. She will be greatly missed, but she lives on in her children, grandchildren, and all those she guided in faith. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
