Dear Family,
We met Ann on a trip with the Chicago AIWF to Morelia Mexico, a couple of years ago. We all fell in love with Ann and had a great time with her two friends, Dave and Dana. Later, we (My Mom, wife and I) had a trip to Chicago (One of two) and each time Ann made time for us, last year hosting a party for us with many of the Chicago people that had been on the trip. We had made plans to return when she was well and do the town. We talked by phone, exchanged recipes and just became great friends. Ann is one of the very special people; you only meet a few like her, if you are lucky. I can see her great big smile and feel her warm hug. This world is a better place because Ann was here; only for too short a time. We all send to you our deepest sympathy and want you to know that four people in Georgia love her very much. Ann, I know all those folks in heaven are going to enjoy your green tomato pickles!!!!!!!!!!!! Kirk Rouse, Albany GA

I was out of town and just learned of Ann's passing. She was a vibrant, engaging, enthusiastic woman who will be missed by our Les Dames organization. I will certainly miss seeing her and talking to her--she always knew the latest!

Dear Kristie and Scott,
Ann was someone that lived her life with fabulous energy and boundless creativity. I have never met someone that compares to her. She invited me to be her partner when she envisioned growing Spice 'N Easy into a real gourmet food business. What an wonderful time we had together. It was magical to be with her and a privilege to share in her dream. I find it hard to believe that she is gone. I will miss her always.
Love to you both,
Kitty

Dear Family - there are no words that can ease your pain at this time. Please accept our deepest condolences. Ann was a wonderful person. She had enormous energy and a wonderful joie de vie. Her appreciation of good food and wine made her great dining companion. Over the years we shared many meals together. She was warm and embraced people. She was so proud of her children. She spoke highly of you all the time. She will be missed by so many.

Dear Scott,
We met when I worked with your mom a couple of years ago. I found her to be full of energy and great passion. I will always remember her zipping along in her car and being so involved in so many groups and activities. She knew so much and so many people and was thought very highly of by all her many contacts and colleagues. She spoke often of you and your sister with great love and affection, you two were genuinely her greatest joys. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

To Ann's family,
Through Ann's neighbor and dear friend Leslie, I had the privilege of knowing Ann and of being present at several dinner parties where she displayed her endless culinary talents. Watching her cook, seemingly effortlessly and always to perfection, was an experience in and of itself! She had a knack for making everyone who entered her home feel like they were the only guest in the room, through her innate warmth and sincerity. I am so very sorry for your loss. She will be missed.
