Mr.Bristow was always kind to my brother and I and always highly regarded in my neighborhood. He commended my achievement as an Eagle Scout as he was one also. He told me stories of his past as an Engineer and a Sailor for the Navy and it was from his stories that inspired to become an engineer and hopefully help many others just like he did. He will be greatly missed by many others and I.

Mr. Bristow's expertise was critical to the success of the Zulu Hydroelectric plant which he and my father built at Karawa in the D.R. Congo. This "little" project quietly provided immeasurable benefit to the work of the church in the Ubangi. Because of his dedication and volunteer commitment, this site provided power to the church, hospital, schools, corn grinders, coffee hullers, appropriate tech shops and other critical loads for over thirty years, saving the U.S. and Congo sister churches millions of dollars in avoided diesel cost and often providing the only electric light in the whole region. During the civil war, this hospital ministered to the victims of five different armies and the hydro quietly kept running even with lack of maintenance. Because of his dedication, the church has been far better equipped to carry out Christ's call "when I was sick...". My dad and I held him in the highest esteem, and dad looked forward to catching up each time he returned to the U.S. He was a good and Godly man and I know he is now in the presence of Jesus hearing the words "well done, my good and faithful servant". Peace to his memory.

What a kind and gentle man. I knew him for year as he exercised in cardiac rehab-arriving there on his bike! May you be comforted in your loss.

Jean & Family:
Thank you for sharing this wonderful man. He was one of the kindest men I have ever been acquainted with and it was truly a blessing and honor to know him and be in his presence. His love for God and his family were an inspiration to all who know him and to me personally, and the love for him by his family was evidenced at the USS Franks reunion gatherings; assuredly a father who truly pleased his Father. Make he rest in peace and may we all sail together again in eternity. Love and Blessings

Dear Jean and Family: We count it an honor to have known Bill and worked with him on the Zulu Project at Karawa, Congo. He always made each person feel special and strived to give himself completely to that person or that project. He will be sorely missed by many, but especially by the Thornblooms. May God put loving arms around you and give you peace during these days.

To Jean & family,
Bill was a mentor and friend to me and many Harza engineers. His humble and positive attitude was inspiring to all of us who worked with him.
Our sympathy is with all of the Bristow family.
