Katz, age 89, of Northbrook, proud WWII veteran, Chairman of the Board and President of Bernard Katz & Assoc., a prominent and respected real estate developer since 1951; beloved husband and best friend for 30 years of Patti, nee Plotnik; loving father of Barbara (Frank) Morelli; adored grandpa of Greg and Joey Morelli, Stacey Katz Goldberg and the late Daniel Katz; proud great-grandfather of Jeffrey, Joey and A.J. Goldberg; cherished brother-in-law of Gerri (John) Gruden, Michael (Rozanne) Plotnik, Marylee (Peter) Bertolas and the late Steven Plotnik; treasured uncle, great uncle and friend of many. Service Monday, 10 a.m. at Am Shalom, 840 Vernon, Glencoe. Entombment Memorial Park.
