When I first met Bill we were at the Dundee Park District where he was enjoying talking to folks and having a great time. He took the time to welcome me to the softball team and chatted with me for a while. He always had a great smile on his face and a joke to tell. I continue to play ball in Dundee even though I live in Plainfield Illinois because I enjoy the game and most of all the company of all the folks that play. Bill I'll miss you buddy take care Tom Dilley

My deepest sympathy to your family for the loss of 'Uncle Bill'.
He and my mother (Ellen {Lick} Fick) were cousins. My grandmother Pauline (Rotermund) Lick and Bill's dad Edgar we're siblings. I have many happy childhood memories of family parties at my grandparents home. My memory of Bill was that he was always an upbeat cheerful gentleman. I would have attended the visitation but I had a total knee replacement just a week ago. My prayers will be with the family in the coming days.

I will always remember going to the Kane county Fair and eating elephant ears with him. He was a brilliant and witty man. I will miss you Bill very much! Kerry Shanahan
