Alison my dear, I think of you often. There are friends you remember forever, and I count you among the dear souls I have met that I will never forget. I miss your light, your humor, sarcasm, insight; I miss our conversations on literature, art, music, your beloved Nana, politics, life in general, and I fondly recall how some of these talks could turn from very serious to rib-achingly hilarious. So much has happened since you've been away, I wish I could share things with you like before. I love you and I miss you so very much. Rest easy, Alison.

I did not know Alison had passed away until today. I befriended Alison at the frame place in Oak Park, and had kept in touch from time to time thereafter. Alison will be remembered fondly by me as a bright, loving, extremely intelligent, friendly, wise, and so very funny, lovely, sparkling light. To me, she was someone I always felt I can talk with, who would understand where I was coming from, another square peg. Although we had lost touch over the past few years, know that your daughter was loved and admired for her inimitable personality, her wisdom, her boundless love and caring, her intelligence, her strengths, her beauty, her vulnerability, her keen mind, and her unbridled passion for life. I will always cherish the time I spent with her and her beautiful spirit. I miss her, my heart is sad knowing this light is gone from us. May we find solace and peace in the best memories of her finest hours.
