Genevieve J. Janis, nee Repel, 98 of Western Springs, formerly of the Brighton Park neighborhood of Chicago. Former owner of Gene's Kiddies Fashion Shop in Chicago. Beloved wife of the late George. Loving mother of Claudine (Ted) Snow. Devoted grandmother of Dale Snow and Letitia (Billy) Taylor. Dear great-grandmother of Gabryella and Alexis Taylor. Fond sister of the late Stanley (late Irene), the late Ferdinand "Plugger", the late Joseph (late Katherine) Repel and Lorraine (late Fritz) Czachor. Dear aunt, great-aunt, and great-great aunt of many. Visitation 3 to 9pm Friday, Jan. 3 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Prayers 10:45am Saturday, Jan. 4 at the funeral home to St. John of the Cross Church, Western Springs for Funeral Mass at 11:15am. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Helping Hand of Countryside or Masses appreciated. Funeral home phone 708/352-6500
