Patricia Maddi "Patti" Doane, 51, of Bolingbrook, IL, formerly of Naperville, IL, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011 at her home. She was born Jan. 19, 1960 in Staten Island, NY. Patricia Ann Maddi was born to the late Clara Lee, nee Faga, and Gerald Maddi, and spent much of her childhood in Staten Island. In 1970 her family moved to Naperville where she attended Lincoln Junior High School and was a 1978 graduate of Naperville Central High School. Patti went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication and Education from the University of Illinois at Champaign, a Master of Science in Communications from Northwestern University, and a Master of Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. Following her undergraduate work, Patti joined what was then known as Western Electric in a marketing position. She rose through the ranks, and stayed with the company through several reorganizations and name changes, from AT&T to Lucent Technologies and then to Alcatel-Lucent. She retired in 2011. Patti is survived by her children, Jimmy (17), Maddi (16) and Patrick (14); her husband of 18 years, Jim; her sister, Susan Maddi Johnson; and brothers, Paul (Carmela) and Tom (Martha); her grandmother, Gertrude Faga; and many loving nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death. Visitation Wednesday, Oct. 26, 3 to 9 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Family and friends will meet Thursday, Oct. 27 for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 2220 Lisson Rd., Naperville. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville. A luncheon reception will follow at the church.
