My sincere condolences to the family and close friends of Pat Parker. Let me tell you how I know Pat. Earlier this year I met her in the tea aisle at Dominick's. We struck up a conversation about tea and learning a little about each other and ended our lengthy time together by exchanging phone numbers and email addresses. We both were elderly and had so much in common that we seemed to bond immediately. Pat told me she was going to have surgery and I told her I'd be praying for her and I've done that religiously from that day to this - today being the day I learned of her death by checking the obits. I must admit that I was moved to tears to have lost this new found friend. I wanted you to know how our one little meeting meant so much to me. We had plans to get together after her surgery but now it won't be until the Good Lord calls me home. By the way I too am 88 and didn't know Pat's age until today. I hope this note brings some comfort to you just knowing how your Mom,relative,friend has touched my life.
