Peggy Hensel Merchant

Peggy Hensel Merchant, age 92, of Western Springs passed away April 15, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Harvey Hensel, the late H. D. ("Dan") Dana and the late Hubert Merchant. Loving mother of Stephen (Susan), Paul and Donald (Anne) Hensel. Devoted grandmother of Jeffrey and Bradley Hensel. Dear sister of the late Hon. Paul H. Roney. Peggy was born in Olney, Illinois, grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida and spent the last 65 years in Western Springs. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1941. Peggy's primary focus throughout her life was her love for and dedication to her family, church and community. Interment was held at Bronswood Cemetary in Hinsdale.
