Richard Anderson

Richard Wayne Anderson, 81, formerly of Western Springs, IL, passed away at Bickford Assisted Living in Crystal Lake.He was born January 5th, 1932 in Joliet, to Axel and Lillian Anderson. He married Joyce Diane Carpenter on August 23rd, 1952. They were longtime residents of Western Springs and members of the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs. He most of all cherished his time spent with family and friends. He had a long and successful career as an OB/GYN. He loved band concerts, the symphony, the opera, and the theater. He also had a great love of travel which took him all over the world and the U.S. with his wife Joyce. He loved playing golf, playing cards, and fishing especially with family. He is survived by a son Kevin (Carol) Anderson of Crystal Lake; a daughter Vicki (Matt) Meiners of Woodstock; a son Brian (Adriana) Anderson of Tampa, Florida; Grandchildren Troy, Ryan, Lark, Katie, Sierra, Emily, Sarah, Katherine, and Jack; and a brother Roger (Barb) Anderson; and loyal caregiver William. He was preceded in death by His wife Joyce; a son Neil; and his parents. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs.
