Like Tom, I am a DePaul University retiree, and knew Tom very well throughout most of my 35 years at DePaul. He was firm, honest, and caring - attributes which I respected in Tom.
May he Rest in Peace,.and may he be long-remembered.

I was so very sorry to learn of Tom's death. I have only wonderful memories of working with him at DePaul. He did so much to professionalize the Security Department. And, he always treated everyone in a kind and gracious manner. He was a very good man. Please know he and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.

My sympathies to Tom & Emily's children (my summertime friends from childhood.)
My memories of your dad include his welcoming me into your home when I visited Jen back in 1977, and the friendly conversation we shared over a supper meal at St. Joseph's Hospital when I was visiting my mother in 2012. Though many years apart, his genuine warmth shone through each time. May it comfort you to know he's enjoying heaven's peace with your mom.

So sorry to read of your family's recent loss. We can only rest assured that he is safe in the arms of his Savior and united again with his soul mate, Mom/Grandma. Like Mom/Grandma, he will no doubt be missed daily. I will miss our occasional passing in the cafeteria at St. Joseph's were he came for a healthy serving of good salad...one of his favorites he would tell you. May the Holy Spirit guide you all through the difficult days ahead. God's blessings to you all.
