Just today, March 7, 2016, I received a copy of the IIT Magazine and was saddened to learn of Carl's passing. He was a good friend of many years. He was a classmate at IIT in the Fire Protection Engineering Program class of 1953. Also, together with his brother Ed, we were workmates at Alexander and Company. In addition we were fellow members of the Fire Protection Engineering Association and the Alumni Club at IIT. He had a long and distinguished career as an Engineer as well as in the Insurance Industry where he was well known and respected. I would like to extend my belated condolences to his family.
