Carol Ann Van Cleave nee Peters, 78, of Elk Grove Village for 58 yrs. passed away February 2. Carol worked as a private care giver. She was a former Girl Scout Leader, village volunteer and Charter Member and past President of VFW Post 9284 Ladies Auxiliary. Beloved wife of the late Edward E. (2005); loving mother of Sherrie L. (Ron) Russell, Lisa A. (Ben) Brown; dear sister of Thomas (the late Dolores) Peters and Ralph (Mary) Peters; cherished grandmother of Andrew (Brianna) Zelm, Matthew Russell, Mallory (James) Moberg, Adam, and Ashley Brown. Loving friend and companion of Harry Hengl, she also leaves many caring nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation Monday, February 8, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village with a chapel service Tuesday at 10 a.m. Internment at Ridgewood Cemetery. Memorials to Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence, appreciated.
